Petty Gods Print Copies

I was very surprised to get a parcel from Lulu this morning. In it three hot off the press copies of Petty Gods. I got two hardbacks and one softcover of what is a very hefty book.

I'm keeping one of the hardbacks but will take the other two copies with me to the UK Games Expo at the end of the month. If anybody going wants a copy I'm happy to sell them at £22 (Lulu price £18.98 + postage) for the hardback and £12 (Lulu price £9.98) for the softcover. Those prices are based on what I paid including a discount code and postage rounded up to the nearest pound.

Well done to Richard LeBlanc and everyone else involved for getting this wayward project to completion. I'm really looking forward to giving it a proper read over several evenings. I hope the OSR can produce another project of this scale, and I would be very keen to submit material again.

Here's photos of the books side-by-side. The second photo shows a randomly selected (it just happened to be the one with my entry on it) spread of the contents.

Bad Juju sent from Lulu - Petty God of Printing

In his infinite wisdom Lulu, the God of all things black and white(with a bit of red), has cast out the Oubliette Issues 5-8 Compilation.  If you own a copy, hide it well before the Inquisition finds you.

Put another way, after happily printing and selling over 100 copies, Lulu has decided that he doesn't like the PDF file, and wants me to take a look at it.  I'm hoping I can fix it quickly, but if it requires hours of swearing and weeping over the computer keyboard, it may be some time before it's back up.  The good news is that I have a stash of print copies, so if anyone is desperate for a copy, I'm sure I can sort something out.

Original Petty Gods PDF

Gorgonmilk has posted a download link for the Original Petty Gods.  The PDF has been released by Peter Gifford who was responsible for its design and layout.  I'm so glad to see this released, and I will certainly get a copy of it printed and bound to enjoy while waiting for Gorgonmilk's expanded edition.

Petty Gods x12

Gorgonmilk has delighted the OSR community today with his offer to pick up, dust off, and finish the Petty Gods book.  A preview of Petty Gods appeared in Oubliette Issue Six.  The community today seems to have unanimously supported the idea of resurrecting the project.  I've forwarded a PDF that James sent me last Autumn to Gorgonmilk, in the hope that it will be of some use in his task.  However, as everyone has shown such renewed enthusiasm for Petty Gods, I thought it would be OK to share the material here too.

The following images represent everything I have as a PDF.  I don't know who created it for James, but he did mention that someone was assisting on the layout.
